Certificate and Professional Development

The Social Impact Center of Excellence also provides students with the opportunity to pursue certificate programs and training programs. Please visit our website for more information.

Graduate Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship:  Social entrepreneurship is defined as any innovative initiative that is designed to address social problems that have not been adequately addressed. While the goal of social entrepreneurship is to create a better society, it is not necessarily inconsistent with making a profit. In fact, there is a growing recognition that societal problems require partnerships involving business, government and the nonprofit sector.  Therefore, social entrepreneurship requires innovative, even revolutionary, business approaches that achieve sufficient scope and scale to be effective.

Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate:  This certificate is designed to meet the professional needs of senior-level managers and emerging executives of nonprofit and public organizations. The curriculum is designed in a cohort format to promote skill-building and peer networking among seasoned leaders. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate from the CLU's Social Impact Center of Excellence.
